I am dead

I’m paddling in the Dragon Boat Festival this year with a bunch of coworkers and we’ve been doing some circuit training to get ready. Normally it’s not anything I can’t handle but this morning, after 3 hours of derby practice last night, kicked my ass. Here’s what we did:

Circuit 1, repeat twice

  • 20 arm circles, front & back
  • 20 jumpies
  • 20 pushups
  • 20 lunges, each side
  • 20 scullers
  • 1 min wall sit
  • 20 burpees

Circuit 2, 1 min each

  • Crunches - center
  • Crunches - left
  • Crunches - right
  • Back extensions
  • Apple pickers
  • 3”/3’
  • Hip raises
  • Plank - center
  • Plank - left
  • Plank - right

Circuit 3, 1 min at each pace on the erg machine

  • 24 strokes/sec
  • 26 strokes/sec
  • 28 strokes/sec
  • 30 strokes/sec

Then I died. OK, maybe not but man does my ass hurt from all that jumping.
